Carmen Hernandez is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with over a decade of experience providing compassionate, evidence-based mental health care. A San Diego native, she is fully bilingual in English and Spanish and is deeply committed to delivering culturally responsive, patient-centered care to diverse communities.

Carmen earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from San Diego State University, with advanced clinical training focused on complex psychiatric conditions. Her extensive experience spans psychiatric hospitals, substance use treatment programs, and community-based mental health settings, giving her a well-rounded and nuanced understanding of the psychological challenges individuals face across different stages of care.

She specializes in working with adults and children navigating trauma, mood disorders, and life transitions, with a therapeutic approach rooted in dignity, insight, and individualized care. Carmen integrates evidence-based modalities with a strong emphasis on advocacy, helping patients build resilience while addressing the emotional and psychological components of injury and recovery.
