Naomi Deokule

Pre-Medical Student Intern

Naomi Deokule brings a unique blend of academic excellence, research experience, and entrepreneurial innovation to Alliance Medical Group. A graduate of Brown University, she earned dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Biology with Honors and International and Public Affairs. Her passion lies at the intersection of medicine, technology, and public health, where she seeks to develop proactive, accessible healthcare solutions that bridge the gap between treatment and prevention.

Prior to joining Alliance Medical Group, Naomi served as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) with Brown Emergency Medical Services and conducted research across several leading academic medical centers, including Brown University's Lifespan Women's Center and Boston Medical Center. Her work has focused on women's health, nutrition, mindfulness-based interventions, addiction medicine, and musculoskeletal care. Throughout her academic career, she has contributed to multiple research publications, including three as first author, and has been recognized for her ability to translate complex research findings into practical health interventions.

At Brown University, Naomi investigated the relationship between interoceptive awareness, eating behaviors, and hypertension in pregnant women, publishing her findings as an honors thesis. She later collaborated with renowned psychiatrist and researcher Dr. Judson Brewer on the development and evaluation of a digital mindfulness-based intervention for binge eating disorder, analyzing behavioral data from more than 3,800 real-world users and contributing to research published in the Journal of Behavioral Medicine.

As a participant in the Developing Our Clinicians (DOC) Program at the Hosalkar Institute and Alliance Medical Group, Naomi is expanding her understanding of multidisciplinary healthcare through physician mentorship, clinical observation, case-based learning, and research initiatives. She has a particular interest in orthobiologics, regenerative medicine, and integrative approaches to patient care, and enjoys learning from specialists across a wide range of medical disciplines.

What initially attracted Naomi to Alliance Medical Group was its collaborative, patient-centered approach to healthcare. She values the organization's commitment to bringing together orthopedic surgery, neurology, pain management, regenerative medicine, acupuncture, massage therapy, and other specialties under one roof to provide comprehensive, coordinated care.

Outside of medicine, Naomi enjoys staying active and embracing new adventures. She practices yoga, hikes regularly, and recently added rock climbing, surfing, and scuba diving to her growing list of pursuits. She is also passionate about photography and enjoys documenting local cultures and everyday life while traveling. Her creative side extends to music and dance, where she enjoys singing, playing piano, and has recently developed a love for line dancing.

In addition to her academic and research endeavors, Naomi is the founder of Project Tasveer, an initiative that supports vocational training and health education programs for women in India. Her commitment to service, innovation, and global health reflects her broader mission of creating meaningful impact both inside and outside of healthcare.

Described by colleagues as curious, empathetic, and creative, Naomi approaches every opportunity as a chance to learn, grow, and make a difference in the lives of others. Naomi is a participant of (DOC) Developing our Clinicians Program at the Hosalkar Institute and Alliance Medical Group.
