Mabel Joy "Joy" Aqui-Chan brings a unique blend of legal expertise, administrative leadership, and organizational excellence to Alliance Medical Group. With an extensive background spanning government, legal services, and tax preparation, she offers a thoughtful, detail-oriented approach that supports both operational efficiency and exceptional service. Her diverse professional experience allows her to navigate complex administrative processes while contributing to the collaborative environment that defines Alliance Medical Group.

Prior to joining the organization, Joy served as Executive Assistant to the Mayor within a Local Government Unit in the Philippines before relocating to the United States, where she built nearly a decade of experience as a paralegal and certified tax preparer. Her legal background, strong analytical skills, and methodical approach have equipped her with the ability to manage complex responsibilities with professionalism, accuracy, and integrity.

Joy earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Juris Doctor degree from Saint Louis University in Baguio City, Philippines. Her educational background, combined with years of legal and administrative experience, reflects her lifelong commitment to learning, service, and professional excellence.

What attracted Joy to Alliance Medical Group was the organization's unique intersection of medicine and law, where healthcare and the medico-legal field come together to improve patient outcomes. She is excited to contribute her knowledge and organizational expertise while continuing to grow professionally, finding purpose in her work and supporting the organization's mission of delivering exceptional patient care.

Outside of the office, Joy is a devoted wife and mother who treasures time with her family. She is actively involved in her church community, serving in multiple ministries and as the Assistant Church Clerk for the San Diego Filipino-American Seventh-day Adventist Church. In her free time, she enjoys reading, writing poetry, and observing the unique stories and perspectives of the people around her.

Although naturally introverted, Joy believes that meaningful work often calls us beyond our comfort zones. She describes herself as reliable, responsible, and methodical—qualities that guide both her professional and personal life. Her favorite motto, "Bloom where you are planted," reflects her belief in embracing every opportunity to grow, serve others, and make a positive impact wherever life leads.
