Dr. Daniel Burgess is a busy private practice General Surgeon in San Diego and Riverside County. Dr. Burgess provides care at Sharp Memorial, Scripps La Jolla Hospital, Sharp Coronado, and Palomar Medical Center in Poway.
Dr. Burgess completed medical school at Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences in 2014, followed by successful completion of a Traditional Rotating Internship at Palisades Medical Center in North Bergen, NJ in 2015 and his General Surgery residency at Carepoint Health in Bayonne, NJ in 2020. Dr. Burgess moved to San Diego after his residency was completed from Martinsville, NJ.
Dr. Burgess has several peer reviewed publications from his time working at Creighton University Cancer Center labs. He was also listed in the San Diego Top Doctors list in 2022.
Dr. Burgess’ surgical interests include minimally invasive and robotic surgeries, hernia repair, foregut, wound care, fecal incontinence, colon cancer and management of traumatic injuries from a general surgical standpoint.
